Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release (MFR) is an advanced form of manual therapy for adults, children and babies, that is safe, natural, and extremely effective in the treatment of acute and chronic pain and for overall health. Myofascial Release uses sustained, hands-on pressure into areas of pain or tension to release restrictions in the fascia. Fascia is the connective tissue that is spread three-dimensionally throughout our entire body, head to toe. The fascial system is similar in appearance to a spider’s web or sweater and is interwoven throughout every structure and cell of our body; muscle, bone, nerve, organs, including our heart, lungs, brain, and spinal cord. By releasing fascial restrictions, the body can begin to restore to its optimal function.

Pediatric Myofascial Release

Pediatric MFR promotes successful growth and development for children of all ages. It helps to correct postural imbalances, increases body awareness, enhances self-esteem, and improves quality of movement. Treatments as early on as possible help pave the way for a life full of health and vitality. Craniosacral Therapy (CST), a gentle manual therapy used to evaluate and enhance the craniosacral system (the brain and spinal cord), is often integrated into treatment sessions with babies and children. MFR has shown to be beneficial for: Pain, Headaches, Scoliosis, Hip Dysplasia, Tongue Tie, Breastfeeding Challenges, Neurological Disorders, Birth Injuries and/or Trauma, Colic / “Fussy Baby”, and more…
